Who We Are:

Spokane Turbine Center (STC) dba Parkwater Foundation (PWF), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2007 and located at Historic Felts Field in Spokane, WA.  STC provides subsidies for aviation training, technical instruction, and safety education to pilots and mechanics from humanitarian aid and mission aviation organizations.

Parkwater Aviation (PWA) was formed as a for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of STC/PWF.  PWA is the factory authorized training facility for the STOL, PT6 Turboprop powered Quest Kodiak aircraft, which is manufactured in Sandpoint, ID.   PWA serves commercial, corporate, government, fleet, military, and private Kodiak owner operators around the world.

What We Do:

Standing between humanitarian aid aviation professionals and their critical work around the world is highly technical training that requires significant hours in preparation and instruction.  And the reality is that the necessary training to properly equip pilots and mechanics is costly.

Through the generosity of support partners, STC is able to help defray expensive training costs through subsidies.  Donations to the Training Subsidy Fund can help a nonprofit aviation organization to save up to $7,104 per pilot.

Donor support, unless otherwise specified, does not support general operations, administrative expenses, or other operating costs.

How You Can Make a Difference:

Your donation to the Training Subsidy Fund supports a pilot or mechanic in their preparation and training prior to their deployment in the field.

A gift of….

  • $7,104 subsidizes the Initial Kodiak 100 Familiarization Training Program (Pilot)
  • $3,846 subsidizes the IFR or VFR Kodiak Recurrent Training Program (Pilot)
  • $3,900 subsidizes the PT6 Hot Section Inspection & Heavy Maintenance Training Program (Mechanic)
  • $3,360 subsidizes the PT6 Comprehensive Overview Training Program (Mechanic)
  • $1,500 subsidizes the G1000 Maintenance Training Program (Mechanic)
